Otherworldly

In this week’s edition we have two pieces of fiction that are unreal. Or at least center around something that most people don’t believe in.

The first story in this edition is Of Mystery and Magic by Amanda Cate
Amanda Cate is a senior at California Baptist University in Southern California that is majoring in English. She enjoys writing fantasy stories that incorporate magic in interesting ways. She has gotten several of her poems published both on a blog and in The Dazed Starling, the literary journal at California Baptist University.

The second piece in this bundle is The Younger Edda by Thomas Wharton.
Wharton’s novels, stories, and nonfiction have been published in Canada, the US, the UK, Italy, and other countries. His first novel Icefields received the 1996 Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Book in Canada and the Caribbean. His first collection of stories, The Logogryph, was shortlisted the International Dublin Literary Award. He lives near Edmonton, Alberta and teaches creative writing. Wharton can be found at www.thomaswharton.ca.
